The nearest shopping area is just 500 metres away, whilst the centre of Chania is 17 km away. Both are covered by daily bus services. During winter 1999 / 2000, the hotel underwent full and extensive modifications to the entire pool area which gave it a brand new look, making it more tropical and idyllic. The whole project included the construction of 3 new freshwater, lagoon-shaped, swimming pools, a new pool bar and a snack bar.
